Abstract

Abstrak Bunga Melastoma malabathricum L merupakan bagian tanaman yang mengandung quercetin dan kaempferol. Quercetin dan kaempferol berguna sebagai antioksidan dan antikanker. Fase bunga akan mempengaruhi kandungan quercetin dan kaempferol. Bunga M. malabathricum L terdiri dari 4 fase bunga, yaitu fase kuncup 1 (K1), kuncup 2 (K2), Kuncup 3 (K3) dan Bunga mekar (M), serta 1 fase buah (B). Belum diketahui fase bunga M. malabathricum L yang mempunyai kandungan tertinggi quercetin dan kaempferol. Kandungan quercetin dan kaempferol di ukur dengan menggunakan HPLC MS/MS. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran diketahui bahwa kandungan quercetin berturut turut dari K1, K2, K3, M dan B, yaitu 19,47 μg/g, 17,78 μg/g, 31,2 μg/g, 94,32 μg/g dan 67,78 μg/g, sedangkan kandungan kaempferol berturut-turut dari K1, K2, K3, M dan B, yaitu 140,99 μg/g, 57,28 μg/g, 95,32 μg/g, 349,37 μg/g dan 43,52 μg/g. Abstract Melastoma malabathricum Linn flowers are part of a plant that contains quercetin and kaempferol. Quercetin and kaempferol are useful for their antioxidant and anticancer properties. The flowering phase affects levels of quercetin and kaempferol. There are four phases of interest: bud 1 (K1), bud 2 (K2), bud 3 (K3) and flowers bloom (M). It remains to be determined which phase of Melastoma malabathricum L flowering shows the highest levels of quercetin and kaempferol. Quercetin and kaempferol levels were measured using HPLC MS/MS. Quercetin levels were as follows during consecutive K1, K2, K3, and M phases: 19.47 ug/g, 17.78 ug/g, 31.2 ug/g, and 94.32 ug/g. Levels of kaempferol during K1, K2, K3, and M were: 140.99 ug/g, 57.28 ug/g, 95.32 ug/g, and 349.37 ug/g.
